The Information Technology department focuses on providing easy access to secure, reliable, and timely data, and we’re committed to retaining quality staff and investigating new technologies. In addition to managing Addison’s fast Ethernet network and Public Safety computer systems, the team monitors and directs the growth and performance of both hardware and software; coordinates with departments concerning information services; compiles data for long- and short-term projects as requested by departments; consults with departments regarding computer purchases; evaluates, recommends and implements emerging technology; and provides training and technical assistance on software applications. The Information Technology department is also tasked with developing and implementing guidelines for the following:
