Alcohol & Tobacco Related Offenses

ALCOHOL RELATED OFFENSES

If you are under 21 years of age and charged with an alcohol related offense, you must appear in person in the Court. If you are under 18 years of age you must appear with your parent or legal guardian.  If you are found guilty of an offense under Section 106 of the Texas Alcohol Beverage Code, then in addition to a fine, the law requires suspension of your driving privileges, your attendance at an awareness course as well as performance of community service.

If you do not have more than one conviction before your 21st birthday you may apply to the court to expunge the conviction after you turn 21.

TOBACCO OFFENSES

If you are under 18 years of age and are charged with possession or use of tobacco you will be required to attend a tobacco awareness course as part of the punishment. You must have your parent or legal guardian present.
