Texas Police Chiefs Association's Best Practices Recognition Program
The Addison Police Department is accredited through the Texas Police Chiefs Association's Best Practices Recognition Program, meaning the department meets or exceeds all of the program's identified best practices for Texas law enforcement.
After working through the process for two years, the department achieved its original accreditation in 2009. Because Addison has always been diligent in practicing industry standards and staying current with changes in law enforcement, in 2013 the Police Department completed the usual two-year review process in a record time of six months. Congratulations to our Law Enforcement team!
