WATERTOWER THEATRE'S OUT OF THE LOOP FRINGE FESTIVAL, March 5-15

This 10-day Festival of the arts is packed full of the latest in live theatre, dance, music and visual art. The 2015 Festival is the 14th year for what D Magazine called The Best Fringe Festival in Town.

HOTCAKE HUSTLE 5K/10K, January 10

8:00am - 12:00pm Addison Conference Centre

Start your new year off right with the Hotcake Hustle! Runners and walkers can opt for the 5K or choose a tougher challenge and run the 10K. Kids will have a ball in the bounce house and in the fun run. There will be live music as well as lots of sponsors with samples and a beer garden. And of course, we'll have hotcakes provided by the Original Pancake House after the race. Price increases Jan. 

WALK MS, April 11

8:00am Addison Circle Park

Walk MS connects people living with MS and those who care about them. It is an experience unlike any other - a day to come together, to celebrate the progress we've made and to show the power of our connections. When you participate in Walk MS, the funds you raise give hope to the more than 2.3 million people living with MS worldwide. The dollars raised support life-changing programs and cutting-edge research. Every connection counts.

WELLNESS EXPO, APRIL 11- 12, OCTOBER 17-18

The Wellness Expo will be Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12, 2015 from 11am to 6pm each day at the Addison Conference Center, 15650 Addison Rd. Admission is $7 per day or $10 for the weekend. Children under 12 and adults over 65 are free.

Planet earth's best-loved wellness event will feature more than 100 exhibitors with products and services for mind, body and spirit. Shop for breakthrough nutritional products, energized jewelry and stones and experience bodywork, Reiki, reflexology and intuitive readings. Lecture series includes 24 talks on "Treating the Common Symptoms of Heart Stress," "Sleep Apnea," "Natural Beauty & Pain Relief," and "Medical Intuition." ADDISON COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE, May 2

Event held twice a year: First Saturday in May and October 8:00am - 2:00pm in the Sam's Club Parking Lot

Who doesn't LOVE a good sale?!  Find great bargains on previously owned furniture, clothing, household items and jewelry at the semi-annual Addison Community Garage Sale.  Addison residents have been coming together for years to present this free event, and you won't want to miss the high quality items for sale.  Lots of children's clothing and toys, home decor, holiday decorations and more!

CYSTIC FIBROSIS WALK, May 30

8:00am Vitruvian Park 3966 Vitruvian Way, Addison, TX 75001

Vitruvian Park is elated to host the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 2014 Great Strides Walk on Saturday, May 31st!  Check-In/Registration begins at 8:00am before the walk kicks-off at 9:00am.  The event is a fun, family-oriented and healthy 5k walk that includes; kids activities, food and festivities participants look forward to year after year.

This annual race benefits the Mary Kay Foundation's goal to raise awareness about domestic violence and cancers that affect women.

LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK, November 1

7:00pm Addison Circle Park

Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

 

Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in nearly two hundred communities each fall across North America.

ARBOR DAY, November 7

Celebrate National Arbor Day! The Addison Arbor Foundation's mission is to provide and coordinate technical and educational resources to Addison residents and businesses for the purpose of establishing and maintaining healthy, sustainable urban forests.
