Throughout the year, Addison is host to some of the largest events in North Texas including KaboomTown, Oktoberfest, and Fork and Cork. On summer weekends, our Special Events Department hosts organizes outdoor concerts open to the public.

Addison Fork & Cork

Fork & Cork is a casual, yet sophisticated event for people who enjoy food as entertainment. It spotlights the culinary diversity found among North Texas' chef-driven establishments and introduces guests to a new way of thinking about food in our city. Designed for the epicurious, this event brings together celebrated chefs, specialty food vendors, local artists, live music, craft breweries, wineries and spirit makers.

Addison Kaboom Town!

Friday, July 3, 2015 from 4pm to midnight

Rated one of the top 5 fireworks shows in the United States by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, American Pyrotechnic Association, and AOL Travel, Addison Kaboom Town! is an Independence Day Eve celebration featuring a 30-minute ground-launched fireworks show that is choregoraphed and simulcast live on the radio. Other activities and events include the Addison Airshow featuring stunt planes, fly-bys from World Class Warbirds from the Cavanaugh Flight Museum,food, games, a carnival, musical entertainment, an after-party, and more at Addison Circle Park.

Named one of the country's most authentic Oktoberfest celebrations by Forbes and USA Today, Addison Oktoberfest features four days of family-oriented entertainment. German entertainers in authentic costumes perform traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplattling, oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels, and more. A special 'Oktoberfest' Paulaner Bier is served along with several types of German sausage, sauerkraut, strudel, giant pretzels, and more. There are carnival rides, midway games, children's entertainment and activities, and a 5K and 1-mile fun run benefiting Wipe Out Kids' Cancer. Guests can also register to dine at the Chamberlain's Brau Haus for a full-service dining experience featuring an exclusive menu.
